The more I think about it the more it seems to me that the Repubs have given us our slogan for the election in November. Not just in reference to the disaster in Iraq, but with every other issue you can think of. Do we want to "stay the course" with the taxcuts for the wealthy and continued debt and deficits? Do we want to "stay the course" with the incompetence that we saw exhibited with Hurricane Katrina? Do we want to "stay the course" with the loss of allied support around the world?
Bottom line: we do not have to mention the War in Iraq but the slogan "stay the course" would inquire of the American people whether or not they want more of the same? "Stay the Course" defines that as well as anything I have heard...

5. I suggested that on another thread when "cut and run" vs. "stay |
|
the course" came out. It didn't get much response...but some saw the point. We should/CAN make Rethugs cringe every time someone utters the words "S the C". Make it a negative word to shy away from...like they made "Liberal","ACLU member" and "cut & run" to have negative meaning.
Whenever someone on the media or friend etc. utters the simplistic phrase "S t C"...ask them what that means and make them explain how anything bush* did is correct or isn't a lie and why we should continue doing anything bush has done. They won't be able too! Then they won't dare say it because they know someone will request they defend it. Also when it's heard...it gives the "hearee" (lol just coined a new word) an opportunity to ask questions such as: You mean bush should continue lying to the American people? You mean we should continue the killing of our troops? You mean we should continue invading other countries without planning? You mean we should continue alienating other countries and our Allies? You mean we should continue destroying our constitution? You mean we should continue helping Osama recruit terrorists? You mean we should continue dividing Americans and creating hatred. You mean we should continue merging politics and religion.
And the beat goes on...you get the idea and add your own.
We should make it a talking point to all politicians. I think this is very important and could change the course of the election. We can't be considered "Cut & Runners" and they must not get away with that "Stay the Course " bull crap!
