Today I FINALLY cancelled my TIME subscription |
|
I'm not proud that it took me this long, but the essay on Teddy Roosevelt by Karl Rove pushed me over the edge. I could withstand the Coulter cover, but enough is enough.:puke:

Probably 35 years...didn't renew two months ago. Not much of a void, in fact. Their appeal was diluted with "People" and such niche rags. Newspapers are the print media in big trouble. My S.O. subscribes to Atlantic, Time, NYT Sunday, The Nation, New Yorker, etc. I get Vanity Fair; been good the last few years. And of course...the internets.

5. Took a very long time for me to "get it" too. It's unfortunate that |
|
there's no weekly national news magazine that isn't right-wing. Having a few token "liberal" columnists isn't enough as far as I'm concerned. I think one reason why there isn't even a politically moderate weekly news magazine is because though most Americans have somewhat moderate political views, they won't purchase a subscription even to a magazine with "moderate" views.

It was sometime in the 70's I quit reading that rag, but can't remember exactly when I caught on.
