8. it isn't about being techinical

it is about being picky. Yes, all explosives are chemicals...but technically so is just about everything else about any munition. The OP was talking about chemical weapons...rather, the article spoke to that. And, unless you just want to be picky, chemical weapons are pretty clearly defined and understood to be non-conventional...but hey, be picky if you want...it says a LOT about you...

It's referring to two different claims. This claim is they used a chemical weapon.

The article's a bit inaccurate, though: the claim a few days before this claim was that they possessed both biological and chemical weapons. How the 20 or so weapons divided between 'chemical' and 'biological' wasn't made explicit.
