Bush suggests asking Congress for approval after SCourt decision
After a Supreme Court decision overruling war crimes trials for Guantanamo Bay detainees, President Bush suggested Thursday he will ask Congress for approval to try terrorism suspects before military tribunals.

"To the extent that there is latitude to work with the Congress to determine whether or not the military tribunals will be an avenue in which to give people their day in court, we will do so," he said. "The American people need to know that the ruling, as I understand it, won't cause killers to be put out on the street."

Bush said little more, saying he had received only a ``drive-by briefing'' on the ruling just out Thursday morning.

1. What Part of Unconstitutional Don't You Understand, George?
Congress can't rubber stamp you out of this. Nobody but the People--3/4 of the states, to be precise. You are approved in just four of those states right now. Give it up.

2. The Decider will go to his brown nosed
congress and demand that they give him all the powers he needs and the idiots will jump in lock step and give the War Pres anything he needs to fight the War on terra, blah blah blah

Now is the time for the Dems to stand up once and for all, a chance to redeem themselves from their shameless vote on the war and tell this A hole to stick it where the sun don't shine.

How many Dems will give him the free hand he will ask for? I can almost tell you who they before any vote takes place.

5. Somebody finally told Bush that Congress is a lock for him. Huh.
he ordinarily thinks everybody is agin him. That's why he's such a control freak. Specter will give the little shit anything he wants. He doesn't have to be the tyrant all by himself. He has lots of helpers waiting to rush in and support his Amerifascism.
