Are the "big media" finally realizing that the NYT treatment can be
applied to any one of them who are not Fox News? Waking up?

1. One of my fantasies is that the MSM will learn that the administration
is not to be trusted and begin to do real objective reporting and real journalism. If they don't protect themselves now, it will be years before they get their independence back and only Dems will give it to them.

2. MAYBE, 911 burnt their bridges!
the pigmedia (which the mass media have repeatedly proven themselves to be) were still a loose cannon on nov7th/00 and there were stories out there about bushinc that woulda made watergate or iran/contra minor league scandals in comparison; bush (his handlers) knew it was only a matter of time before the pigmedia became rebellious, maybe not nationally but locally for sure, so he set them up (or used their crimes to paint them into a corner)...my theory is that the 911 catastrophe was so imcredibly awful it trapped the mediamen on bush's side of any political issue (again, bush hisself probably not even a player in all this, but there are some truly nasty fukkers running the usa behind the scenes, and the frontmen like bush, rumsmell, cheney, delay, rove, oldbush, baker and so on are just pawns, sorta like we are, or like iraq (or the wtc) was/is) in effect, 911 told the media that they will support bush to the end, or bush will fall, being barely competent anyways - and if/when he falls, murdoch and melon-scaif and lord hawhaw and all the rest of them rightwing pigs are going to end up swinging from the lamposts too!
face it, whatever benefit anyone gets from the bush criminal organization does not explain why they allow their own soup to be crapped in!

3. Nah - they are working FOR BushInc. Any REMNANTS of their journalistic
instincts that may flare up for a moment still won't add up to anything that serves this nation.

4. Hell, they'll write editorials saying Bush is right to censor them.
The MSM is so confused, corrupt and co-opted, I wouldn't doubt if they kept on cheering Bush's fascistic moves -- even as Bush is shutting them down. After all, they got him elected in the first place.
