Sen. Bill Frist Revives Stem Cell Bill
Urged anew by Nancy Reagan, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist Thursday revived a bill to expand funding for embryonic stem cell research after a conservative who had blocked it withdrew his objection.

President Bush's veto threat remained, said White House spokesman Ken Lisaius. And an objection from another senator still threatened to block the bill, according to officials close to the talks who spoke on condition of anonymity because negotiations were ongoing.

The bill would permit the government to pay for human embryonic stem cell research, a science that carries promise in the hunt for cures to diseases that afflict millions of people.

Polls suggest about 70 percent of Americans support the bill. Yet, it has been stalled in the Senate since the House passed it last year.

2. Those opposed to this bill must not be the compassionate conservatives
& they must believe that right to life stops at birth.

3. this is why Bill Frist will never be President
the pro-life hordes will never embrace someone who supports killing the innocent little stem-cells.
