Is every Editor at the Wall St Journal as uninformed and incompetent as..
Edited on Fri Jun-30-06 10:10 AM by kentuck
the one that Brian Lamb had on Washington Journal this morning? He said that people confused "spin" with lies. He did not think that George W Bush had lied. He said they believed what they were saying about WMDs and other things pre-War in Iraq. Also, he said that a man of the stature of Colin Powell would definitely not say things before the UN if he didn't think they were true...etc..etc...

I cannot believe that this guy held such a high position at the Wall St Journal? How do they write their stories if they are so uninformed on the facts? Do they write purely from their political belief and right-wing propaganda. He was embarrassing. But I can see why the Wall St Journal is the paper of record for the Right-Wingers...

8. I second that
The reportage is very high quality, IMHO. I read the editorial pages for amusement only. I'm not sure what color the sky is in their world.

6. Aw, come on, it's not "lies" if you omit facts!
:sarcasm:

"We know they have (had) weapons of mass destruction (in the 80s). Saddam used them against his own people (in a war in 1988)!"

The text in parentheses is implied, not spoken . . . so they didn't "lie" . . . unlike the "lies of omission" that Clinton was famous for . . . :eyes:
