Garrison Keillor's Independence Day special on PBS
I know that others have posted about this before, just watched the rerun of his special Prairie Home Companion at Tanglewood.

At the end, he led the audience in "America the Beautiful." And I remembered him doing the same almost two years ago.

It was Labor Day 2004 picnic and we were waiting for then V.P. candidate John Edwards to appear. He was delayed by several hours. That other V.P. prick, Cheney, was there too and the skies above Minneapolis St. Paul were closed until he took off, which meant that Edwards (and others) were delayed.

But we've listened to some wonderful speakers, including Garrison Keillor who was hinting at the wedge issues saying how they masked the real ones - of safety of Social Security of Jobs... and by the end he led us with the "America the Beautiful" calling each line ahead of us.
