TUCKER! ON MSNBC! S**THEAD!
Since he's been sentenced to a broadcast graveyard, he's become even WOISE, as my uncle used to say, than he was. He just had Amb. Flynn on, blaming the Democrats in the 'one-party state' of Massachusetts for the failure to oversee the Big Dig. Flynn reminded Carlson that the governors were Rethugs. Carlson was just yammerring on and on about how the Democrats from Boston to D.C. were directly responsible for the death of this poor woman in the tunnel. What a schmuck.

BUT..here's the problem. Flynn was a gentleman about it, which he shouldn't have been. He should have said, "Listen you idiot, your argument is piss-poor in this regard. Stop trying to blame the Democratic Party for a chunk falling concrete when the Republican Party is resonsible for the collapse of stability in the Middle East and the World. How DARE YOU imply that a political movement is behind a tunnel design and/or execution problem when your boyfriends have led us to military, economic, and social ruin." Or words to that effect...

TUCKER has Peter Principled himself right to the bottom. Just recall what Sharon Stone said: "You can only sleep your way to the middle." TUCKER couldn't even b**w his way there.

1. I thought Bechtel was handling construction...
and, of course, it's been way over budget since they got involved.

3. Tucker has no appeal to anyone. Why ? Why?
Why is MSNBC even trying this - it will be a fiasco.

I was talking to a friend (male)on the phone last night about Tucker and we had both turned him off after about 10 minutes because he is such a bully and completely amoral a-hole.

I asked my friend which personality disorder he would assign to Tucker - his comment "He has a very small penis - has not been able to sustain a good sexual relationship with anyone and does all of this yelling as a distraction from his insecurities."

Sadly, sometimes I think it is just that simple.

9. Yep, so many things at play...the contract, the set already built
the need to create and stage a new show with new talent....easier to just cede the hour, let the bastard yammer, think about it for a bit, and when ya make yer move, do it right.

I say bring back PHIL DONAHUE...I LOVED that show.

5. Imus was talking today or yesterday

... about Carlson giving the press hell. It was all kind of confusing what he was saying, and he might have been talking about Scarborough. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

11. Why yes, you are correct!!
The Central Artery/Tunnel Project was managed by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority with design and construction supervised by a joint venture of Bechtel Corporation and Parsons Brinckerhoff. Due to the enormous size of the project—too large for any company to undertake alone—the design and construction of the Big Dig were broken up into dozens of smaller subprojects with well-defined interfaces between contractors. Major heavy-construction contractors on the project included Jay Cashman, Modern Continental, Obayashi Corporation, Perini Corporation, Peter Kiewit Sons' Incorporated, J.F. White, and the Slattery division of Skanska USA. (Of those, Modern Continental was awarded the greatest gross value of contracts, joint ventures included.)

8. Bechtel in Iraq
Same corrupt, incompetent crap as the Big Dig:
http://www.corpwatch.org/article.php?id=11120
<snip>Both Bechtel and Halliburton have close ties to recent Republican administrations. Vice President Dick Cheney once ran Halliburton , and a number of former Bechtel executives have served in recent Republican White Houses, including former Secretary of State George Schulz and former defense secretary Caspar Weinberger.

.....
According to USAID, the school refurbishment project is worth about $50 million, part of more than $1 billion in contracts the government awarded Bechtel in Iraq -- seen by the company as a uniquely high-profile project in the company's 105-year history.

.......
Maj. Linda Scharf, a civil affairs officer, ordered a survey of 20 Bechtel-repaired schools in her area and found dangerous debris left in playgrounds, sloppy paint jobs and broken toilets. "The work was horrible," she said.
........
"The new fans are cheap and burned out immediately upon use. All inspected were already broken," wrote a U.S. soldier in an inspection.

13. K&R -Jon STEWERT screwed up in going after this dude
What did we have before?----- CARLSON in a bow tie at 4 P.M., ranting and being ranted BACK at. What do we have now?---- CARLSON un-tied at 4 P.M., ranting with NOBODY ranting back at him.

STEWERT claimed that the Crossfire duo were wrecking the country. Why didn't he go after LIMBOsevic, who singlehandedly is who started the barrage of hatred that has spawned off into all the rest of HANNITY-COULTERgeist-MALKIN-O'REILLY and all the rest of the mental midgets?

Father COUGHLIN went on the air with his hatred in 1926 and was taken off in 1940, reaching probably a higher percentage of the population than LIMBOsevic does, his total years now being surpassed by LIMBOsevic's. These pissants are young, can last 30 or 40 more years. Paul HARVEY is still on the air. Just being mindboggled here...

14. Here is Tucker's typical argument method
Edited on Tue Jul-11-06 04:51 PM by LostInAnomie
1. Make a ridiculous politically slanted point based as loosely as possible on a single fact

2. Allow guest response

3. Attempt to trivialize the guest's reply by using a ridiculous strawman.

4. Allow guest response

5. Interrupt guest response.

6. Make snide politically slanted comment.

7. Get fact checked by the guest.

8. Digress from politically slanted comment, but maintain that Democrats are the problem, Muslims are evil, political correctness is the tool of the Devil, or any combination.

9. Claim to be out of time and thank guest.

10. Make snarky remark before going to commercial.

Claiming that you have always been against the Iraq war but calling Democratic Senators or Congressmen who are also against it cowards also comes in handy every now and then.

16. It's not an issue of fan-dom...
when you're walking down the street and you see a pile of dog crap, you don't take your eyes from it, lest you make a mistake and step in it.

Same logic here...
