Bombs in Bombay = Swat Teams in the subway....?

Does anyone else find it odd that the immediate reaction of the powers that be in NYC to the bombing of Bombay's railways is to send swarms of heavily armed, militarized police into the subway system? I do not find it "comforting", I find it alarming.. and I'll bet it's expensive too.

The get on TV and say "There are no credible threats, but we thought we ought to step up security anyway." It's like saying, in one breath,

"Be calm. . . FREAK OUT!!!"

the fact that the Mumbai train bombing has a lot to do with what is going on in Kashmir (internal Indian politics) has been ignored by the MSM, and is now being used as international terror plot.

would they say "OMG you were right! praise gwb and vote repub because they will keep us safe!"? Would people really do that? How many would do this disconnect?

4. Rove is kicking ass and Dems don't even know it

He said he would run the mid-terms on homeland security and he is.
And seems like the Dem party doesn't even know what's going on.
It's assymetric warfare baby... and we're getting punked.

I hope the Dems go on the offensive soon.. or hate to say.. we're left behind.
