Something new I noticed on our local emergency alert announcement
It always used to say "in case of the event of a real emergency, the sound you just heard would be followed by instructions". Now it says "in case of a weather or CIVIL emergency, the sound would be followed by instructions".

Am I tinfoil-hatting it if I noticed that and wondered about the significance?

1. They won't bother to warn us when the Army...
...begins the clampdown. That would make it unnecessarily difficult for them to haul us away in secrecy.
