they will find a new location on the dial and a new building...or extend their lease until they do! Anyway, that's what should happen in this situation! http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/news/recent_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002424337

resident, i know that there arent a lot of availble options on the radio with good coverage in NYC. 570 - WMCA christian talk 620 WSNR sporting news radio leased time/sports low power 660 - WFAN 770 - WABC 880 - WCBS 710 - WOR Radio 1010- WINS 1050 - ESPN radio 1190 - current home of AAR 1130 - bloomberg news 1240 - WGBB chinese variety 930 - WPAT (possible home 5000 watts, would have to switch formats from current multi-ethnic music) but is lower powered 970 WWDJ - religious out of NJ 1100 WHLI easy listening music, 10k watts, easy listening music.
1160 WVNJ jersey station 20k watts
most of the rest are foreign language stations.
but as you can see there isnt a whole lot of room there for a new affiliate. I hope i am wrong and they can either continue somehow one LIB or on another 10k+ watt station.

3. the "demise" of Air America |
|
O'Reilly did another segment last night about the "demise" of Air America. Maybe there's another reason besides Air America's Progressive voice that causes him to fixate on it's death. News that the average age of O'Reilly's audience is 71 might be making him just a little nervous. Is the "culture warrior" out of touch? http://www.newshounds.us/2006/07/12/oreilly_fears_air_americas_youthful_energy.php
