I remember seeing something over the past few days about a UN resolution and also that the WH was not behind it, I don't remember anything about a veto, and Snow categorically denied it.

I don't think for a minute that helen thomas made it up just to "get it out there", but is there a chance that she was mistaken, or is Snow lying his ass off? I didn't buy it when he attempted to pass the misunderstanding off as part of Booboo's gaffe at the G8.

Any insights or links?

It looks like the U.S. vetoed a resolution to demand Israel stop. Did it also include a resolution that Hezbollah and Hamas stop too? In other words, it doesn't appear to be a true cease-fire, just a one-sided demand.

8. I wasn't debating the resolution, merely providing the proof that such

a resolution existed which contradicts Snow's lie in absolute terms. The question posed by the OP was as to the existence of the resolution not it's contents.

10. Very good point! In searching for the contents of the resolution it

was dealing with Israel and Gaza and had nothing, in reality, to the ceasefire or the crisis currently occurring. Helen was incorrect and Mr. Snow, much as it pains me to say it, lol, was right, there was no resolution vetoed that related to a ceasefire.
