3. Yet we suppose ourselves to be the most evoltionarily advanced.
We believe that because we tell ourselves it's so.

8. As a licensed pest control technician,
I would have to say the cockroach. There are different types, and they tend to eat a variety of things; termites eat wood; ants generally eat honeydew; beetles vary, but it is often grain. With the earth changes fixing to happen, I would say the cockroach is best equipped to survive.

12. Hail Ants

"Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over -- 'conquered' if you will -- by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive earth men or merely enslave them. One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves."

13. I vote roaches.
They adapt better than most varieties of ants, don't require a queen, have already developed resistance or immunity to all kinds of man-made toxins, can survive radiation, and can eat virtually anything, themselves included.
