Evacuating Americans from Lebanon. Another typical Bush screw up.

Bush's lack of urgency on getting Americans out of Lebanon is the exact same disinterest he showed in getting Americans out of New Orleans.

We've got the biggest navy in the world and access to as many cruise ships as needed. Yet King George was off in Europe talking about roasted pigs, grabbing the German Chancellor's shoulders, and talking "shit" to Tony Blair. Then he comes home and gives a condescending, clueless speech at the NAACP convention.

As of right now, there are still Americans in Beirut waiting for transport out. George W. Bush -- what a fucking waste of space and air.

1. It is ridiculous how there's never a plan already in place

You always hear "well this came unexpected". But how come the media is always there ahead of time because they know when shit is about to happen and before it does they even say, "shit's about to happen"? It's always two or three days after something like this or a disaster that we hear the administration say, "we didn't know things were so bad, we're working on a plan right now though". Even a farmer in Bumfuck if he has a television or a radio knew what was going on a week before this administration says it did.

This particular situation is worse than his response to Katrina because I'm positive he was made aware that Israel was going to bomb Lebanon. It's SOP for foreign leaders to notify their allies about things like that, and I'm sure Israel did too. The admin. is always so concerned about how it's actions will look to their base, I think they flat out discussed it to death before taking any action!
