BILL TITLE: Condemning the recent attacks against the State of Israel, holding terrorists and their state-sponsors accountable for such attacks, supporting Israel’s right to defend itself, and for other purposes

If DU members were to vote, what would the Yeas and Nays be? Surely not 186-7

My first post .. :)

15. So, when Israeli children are killed by Hamas and Hezbollah,
Israel should smile and take it, right?

21. No. They should go and kill Lebanese children at about 10 to 1.
Makes perfect sense to kill more people to achieve peace.

Kinda like killing 100,000 Iraqis to retaliate for the 3000 kill in the WTC.

28. I object to the notion that Hamas and Hezbollah want peace and
Israel should negoitate with them. Hamas and Hezbollah don't want peaceful coexistance. They want Israel DESTROYED!!! This has been documented MANY, many times through what Hamas and Hezbollah say.

Unfortunately, DUers and the World don't care for this reality because it makes Israel not the bad guy and no one can have that because Israel is made of Jews and Jews have been the Western world's whippinh boy and scapegoat for 1500 years!

I object to killing. . .I do not object to Israel defending herself. I also understand bombs are equal opportunity killers. I also know Israel does its best to target militants and terrorists, while the terrorists in Hamas and Hezbollah target civilians in discos, marketplaces and school buses!

11. Nay.
A firm nay. And frankly, I think that even ardent supporters of Israel should take a hard look at how unbalanced this resolution is.

16. And how would you write it?
"Israel can never defend itself because Arab terrorists use suicide bombings as freedom fighting techniques?"

"Israel is wrong in all actions it does, no matter the circumstances."

"Israel should make people with people that do not want to live in coexistant peace with Israel. They want Israel destroyed!"

The way this was written, both for its ambiguity and bias, I'd have to vote NAY.

I am one of those 33%.

Invading/blowing up a country does not stop terrorism.
