I think America should Internalize & clean up its own back yard. |
|
Instead of running all over the world being the police and masters of earth, we should focus on America and the American citizens and OUR needs rather that get involved in any other nation's affairs.
Is that asking too much?

1. I agree 100%. It is not too much to ask. |
|
We are self-destructing at a rapid rate. The whole world is watching America and wondering what happened to us.

3. Honestly, I see the break up of America. |
|
California will be the first. They already have their own agenda's and they usually don't coincide with the rest of America... Bush bans funding of stem cell research, Arnold increases his. Another section sure to break away is the southwest. This country is vastly immense and is bankrupt. States and people are going to tire of the federal gov't. Maybe withing the next 50yrs. The US is outsourced.

4. I say it is wonderful idea! |
|
We have so many in poverty, so many without healthcare. I know in my youth I was considered rather stupid until they discovered I had terrible eyesight during a eye test that the school performed. I couldn't see the blackboard, rather anything written upon it. I was at 20/200 then, I was disconsolate, I lived to be a fighter pilot (airforce brat). Point here being preventive healthcare is so important, any health professional will confirm.
Long story short, You are right!

5. Too simple to work in a complicated world. |
|
Health care would be number one, then unemployment and education, then infrastructure and the economy, not necessarily in that order.

6. Isolationism never dies... |
|
and an isolationist America is an ugle place. Look at were we were as a nation just prior to WW1 and WWII. What would the equivlaent be now? I could expect a serious fence along the border with Mexico and massive deportations as starters.

7. Agreed. However, I would add that we also need to be... |
|
...responsible for the damage "we've" (read "this piece of shit administration has") caused in some way, be it humanitarian aid or whatever.

8. Amen! We need to get over the imperialist thing! |
|
It's just stupid and we suffer for it.
We should learn from history - it doesn't work.
We need to get back to our own problems and quit meddling in everyone else's affairs.
