Beware of Disinformation
You wouldn't know it from reading the posts here about the new outbreak of violence in the ME ,but not all of us here side with the poor Hezbollah or the poor Hamas government. We want peace just as much as anyone (more so ) but we would love the news to be factual as a start. The news you are seeing is as tainted as the news bushco shows you here daily. Not all of it but this should give you pause.- Kev

A CNN reporter is taken to an area of Beirut and told that the rubble of buildings is a result of Israeli air strikes on civilian targets. The reporter repeats the allegation as fact. He has no way of knowing what was in the buildings, whether it was a rocket workshop, a hiding place for katyushas, the home of a Hizballah leader, or a command center. In fact, he doesn’t even know if the Israel was responsible for the destruction that he is shown.

In waging their propaganda war, Israel’s enemies count on journalists to report first and research later, if at all, and CNN and other media outlets have fallen into their trap.

Israel’s adversaries learned a long time ago that they can attract publicity and sympathy by fabricating statistics and screaming “massacre.” This was the case in April 2002 when Palestinians claimed that 500 people were “massacred” in Jenin. They could not produce any evidence to support the scurrilous charge, and their own review committee reported a death toll of 56, of whom 34 were combatants. By the time the truth was reported, the story had been repeated throughout the world media and Israel’s image was tarnished.

Agreed. Here is a great quote from that web page...

"Wars are never easy to cover, and each side of a conflict wants to make its case through the media. A responsible press, however, does not repeat whatever it hears,"

4. It is especially bad this morning
Edited on Sun Jul-23-06 09:32 AM by DoYouEverWonder
I just made the mistake of turning on the TV for a few minutes this morning.

The M$M Bushbots are all excited about the big Israeli offensive today. Watching the latest bombing in Beirut this AM, they assure us that these are Hezbollah targets. The girl gushed, 'does this mean there are Hezbollah targets all over Beirut'. On my, you never know, you better bomb them all just in case. :sarsasm:

7. The Jewish Virtual Library?
What are we posting next - the Hezbollah truth according to IRNA?

Look up "LAP" and you begin to scratch the surface of the Israeli use of propaganda and disinformation, especially in the United States.

9. poor innocent Israel
those F-16s are really papier-mache Hezbollah kites made to *look* like F-16s. And the Likudist spokesmen promising towipe Hezbollah off the face of the earth are actually Hamas animatronic puppets.

Both sides are a murdering bastards--Hezbollah are extremist terrorists and Likud are fascists. I just hope they kill each other before the rest of us start dying too.
