5. Horsey is the best political cartoonist alive
I was a big fan of his when I lived in Seattle and read the P-I. He deserved both of his Pulitzers and then some. Both his concepts and his actual drawing style are the very best. No one captures middle-America morons and other mouth-breathers better than Horsey.

Only Tom Tomorrow ranks as highly in my esteem. For mainstream editorial pages, however, I go with David Horsey.

6. Toles is also consistently excellent, but I have to agree
Horsey is my favorite mainstream editorial cartoonist.
