Police: Mom Told Kids To 'Stay In Bed' As House Burned
Woman Faces Murder Charges

MIDLAND, N.C. -- Investigators say a North Carolina woman instructed her two young children to stay on the bed as she fled the family's burning home.

That woman is now charged with murder. Lisa Louise Greene, 40, is being held without bond.

She applied for a court-appointed attorney at a hearing Tuesday attended by her friends and family.

Detectives used Greene's statements to persuade a judge to let them search her home for blood, DNA and substances that could be used to ignite a fire.

What's even more tragic than the deaths of tow young children is the fact that we as a society don't seem to notice the struggle and heartache of a family until it is too late.

So often laws and administrative proceedures are set in motion to provide for a band aid for problem that is usally a gaping wound.

Our priorities in this country are so screwed up. We spend billions and billions to go and kill people at the other end of the earth, yet can't be compelled to spend a few extra dollars here at home for the nuturing of our families.

Where the hell is this "family values" administration!!!!!
