Don't lose sight of the goal |

No doubt you've noticed it is getting close to the primaries. The DU air is rife with snide remarks, personal attacks and strong opinions. It is natural that some of us will feel compelled to not only support a particular candidate, but also to make a point in defending that candidate.
Each day, when you advance to your keyboard and point your browser to DU, please take a moment to consider:
1) By and large, the people here are working for the same things you are working for
2) No one here is supporting a candidate for the purpose of "handing" an election to the republicans
3) As strong as your emotions run toward your chosen candidate, another DUer might have emotions just as strong toward hers
4) At the end of the day, we will all need to come back into the same camp and work effectively as group.
Don't sacrifice the end goal in your quest to win a few battles.

It seems that the biggest "problem" encountered here is when we disagree on how to accomplish those goals. Some people see moves made by our elected leaders as giving in while others view it as a part of doing business. I know that will always be an issue but hopefully we can start to get on with it like you said.
thanks for the reminder

You're right, the goal is to unseat the re:puke:'s hold on the U S government. nothing more nothing less. Once saner minds are in the majority then we can start to work on our pet projects but now we must remain poised and ready to fight for our cause. Kinda like a ship we all go down with her. For now it is dem all the way.

Mr. CornField often calls me "Okie" when he's feeling frisky. Not that you really needed to know that... LOL!
