I'm really tired of hearing them say they reject anything that doesn't agree with them.

6. I love Adam Savage! But it's not his quote - he got it from: |

7. Haha.. figures he got the quote from that movie |
|
But if you don't mind, I'm going to still attribute it to Adam. I like his reading and application much better. :)

From Ron Suskind, talking with senior official
The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality - judiciously, as you will - we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

Übermenschen That's an example of the mindset that infused Nazi Germany ... all mythic "God-hood" and completely anti-intellectual.

4. Give him points on the hypocrisy scale. |

These miscreants (a majority of them) actually believe their own bloviating. Insanity is not pretty to watch. Years ago, my neighbor and part time employee finally listened too long to the voices in the walls and quieted them with a twelve gage. He was a very nice man, quite intelligent and well spoken, inoffensive and a hard worker. (sigh)
