Will the Iraqi people ever forgive us for what Bush has done to them? |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-27-06 05:40 PM by NNN0LHI
Shock And Awe.
Plundering their natural resources.
Imprisoning and torturing their people.
Tens of thousands of dead Iraqi men, women, and children.
Phony elections and propping up another tin-pot dictator to rule over them.
Jesus, I could never forgive someone if they did that to our country.

16. What makes you think the Vietnamese people have forgiven us? |

I have not Googled around to check one way or the other. Perhaps you have and can save me some time? If you have researched this phenomena just say so and I will believe you. I don't need no links or nothing.

6. Think somewhere down deep, the regular Iraqi citizen |
|
knows that it's not all Americans that are responsible for this tragedy. It will take many many years, but eventually things change. An intelligent man in the white house would be a good start. An intelligent Democrat that is.

7. The Republican Party needs to shoulder the blame for this |

I hope the rest of the world understands that the way our country is acting is beyond the control of many of us. I do what I can, but it doesn't seem to matter.

8. Maybe not..maybe never...but maybe some IF the US finds the courage |
|
the integrity, the decency, the honor, the character...to do what needs to be done and try and imprison the guilty.
Seeing America seek justice and achieve justice might go a long way into getting forgiveness.
I know I will never forgive America if the guilty aren't exposed, arrested, tried, convicted and put behind bars for a long, long time.

America is very popular with the Kurds. Their provinces are for the most part peaceful and economic development has been going on since the fall of the Baath regime.
The Shia have been emancipated. Prior to the war, they were a majority in population but with only a minority of the power. Prime Minister Malaki is a Shia - something very rare in the Sunni Arab world. How angry will they be at America in a few years time?
Even some Sunni must be glad to see Saddam in jail. But they have lost the most in this new Iraq.
Would you be unhappy if a foreign army overthrew bushco ? I guess it depends on what happens next.

15. If someone dropped a bomb on my house while overthrowing Bush... |

...I would be very unhappy. Especially if I was home at the time.
I wouldn't need to wait to see what happened later on.
