Wow...what Wicasta Lovelace has to say about our very own Ava

I've been receiving Wicasta's Watch Alert (a bulletin for pagans on the political activities of the Religious Right) in my e-mail for several years. Imagine my surprise when today's post was a passionate letter about Ava:

A freedom and peace loving young lady in practically my back yard! (Well, actually she's closer to Auburn territory, but she's a 'Bama fan, that's the important thing! :) )

Seriously, I admire Ava very very much! When I was Ava's age, I was just as tuned in, but I wasn't as proactive. She has my admiration.

But I have her back. She has inspired the younger generation of political activists in this country. Her work is unprecedented. To be so young, and to have such a broad mind. Ava is truly a genius.

12. I guess I should have quoted more of the article

but I hoped people would read it for themselves. I didn't really want to give any more energy to repeating the vile threats some bottom-feeding mouth-breathers have made to Ava. I don't know if she's still being harrassed or not, but I was just impressed by this particular pagan's charge to defend her.
