They are more mentally deranged then the Neo-cons. By far.
On Edit: They are a cancerous disease in each one of the groups posted.

the "free"-market worshipping, hard-right, anti-environment libertarians a la CATO, AEI etc.
The type of "libertarian" who doesn't let out a peep when people's civil liberties are trampled or privacy is a joke, but starts whining and screeching the minute a minimum wage hike is suggested -"because it hurts the free markets". The type of "libertarian" that thinks enforcing minimum standards in animal welfare, environmental protections, worker safety regulations threatens their precious "free" markets....
John Stossel, Andrew Sullivan, Christopher Hitchens...etc.etc.
The types that are helping complicate the "debate" on global warming and are driving the world off a cliff...

C, the neocons, because they are behind the imperialist and expensive warmongering to assure US hegemony. Whether US hegemony is really necessary is questionable to my mind. And their way of going about it is to claim diplomacy is weakness and to resort to force as soon as possible, leading to more ill will and more war and the mess the world is in today.

9. Hate Radio Needs A Mention |
|
A lot of the polarization gets its mothersmilk from daily doseages of Rushbo and Hannity and numerous other hate spewers on the airwaves...people who can shoot off their mouths with little need to be either responsible or accountable. They can create a rumor or take one and make it a bigger story by playing echo chamber or just work to create hate and anger to rachet up ratings and profits. Without hate radio you'd have a major link gone in the right wing noise machine as the daylong barage of disinformation always works its way into the nightly cable newscasts and "talk shows" there.
And many of these "hosts" exercize "democracy" by filtering who is allowed onto the airwaves and who is cut off or ridiculed. Need an excuse for the failure of Iraq, blame Clinton...get someone who has a contrary opinion and slime them and call them Un-American. It's all just fine since there's never a need to retract a lie or even admit to a mistake...that's not the way a good Repugnican operates.
Worst of all, they've promoted a culture of inclusion, segragation and intolerance that flaunts the very Constitution that makes this platform possible.
