Bush's ME Peace Plan?
Edited on Mon Jul-31-06 01:32 PM by Turbineguy
The Hezbollah and the Israelis have handed George W Bush an unprecedented opportunity to create something that has eluded so many of his predecessors. Peace in the Middle East.

As things stand now, Bush will go down in history as the worst President in the history of the United States. Although his domestic agenda to transfer wealth from many of us to a few of his friends and contributors has been something of a success, a responsible future government could reverse that. His war on terror has done nothing but reduce civil liberties in the US. His war on Iraq is a disaster.

But if George W Bush can bring peace to the Middle East, all this, the burgeoning national debt, the lies to go to war, the stolen elections, will all be forgiven.

However, the Peace Plan is a Bush Administration operation, and as we can surmise from experience, is likely to be a failure. But that can never be admitted. Therefore it is likely that many more Lebanese, Palestinians and even Israelis will die. Perhaps even many Americans will be sacrificed. Because this is about George Bush's place in history. And that trumps everything.
