FBI Investigates Burning Cross In Interracial Couple's Yard

The discovery of a burning cross with the letters "KKK" scrawled on it in the yard of interracial couple in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., has prompted an FBI investigation into the apparent hate crime, Local 6 News has learned.

Candy Rene, who is German, said someone screamed obscenities from a car window before her family found the large cross at their home on Swamp Deer Road.

Rene said someone also repeatedly ran over and killed her son's dog several weeks ago.
