Bush raises $1.5 million for Blackwell, behind by 20 points!
Bush, who spoke with dispatchers, law enforcement officers, firefighters and other emergency management officials, said the federal disaster declaration means individuals will be helped with rental assistance, temporary housing, grants to rebuild their homes and small business assistance. "It is now time to help people rebuild their lives," Bush said before taking a five-minute motorcade ride to the fundraiser, which was closed to reporters.

Blackwell, the state's secretary of state, who has strong ties to Washington, is one of a handful of prominent black conservatives in the Republican Party, a group that the Bush administration has been courting.

Blackwell, however, is running 20 percentage points behind Democrat Ted Strickland, a congressman from Lisbon in eastern Ohio, according to a recent poll by The Columbus Dispatch. Strickland received 47 percent of support compared with Blackwell's 27 percent in the poll, which had a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.

6. Amen! We know how corrupt Blackwell is...
... and he's overseeing the elections! We must defeat this slimebag by such a margin that even he can't fudge the numbers.

Take nothing for granted!

3. I have a question about campaign finance...
Suppose I am donated a million dollars to run for congress, but I only spend a hundred thousand.

If I lose, what happens to the money?

5. BTW, this is what worries me...
That 20% figure is being disputed on Blackwell's website:

New polling shows tight governors race

"COLUMBUS – The Wall Street Journal Zogby Interactive Poll today indicated Republican gubernatorial nominee Ken Blackwell is in a close race with Congressman and former prison psychologist Ted Strickland. Blackwell trails Strickland by 4.6 points with a 3.2 percent margin of error. The survey mirrors a June 22 Zogby poll showing Blackwell trailing Strickland by only five points and a May 25 University of Cincinnati Ohio Poll showing Blackwell trailing Strickland by six points..."

Folks, we KNOW just how corrupt Ken "Dirty Diebold" Blackwell is. We can't afford to take ANYTHING for granted here. The Repukes will do anything to keep from losing Ohio. We must OUTRAISE them and OUTVOTE them. Don't let up for a minute!
