The biggest federal failure in American history. (rant) |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-03-06 06:11 PM by Rex
What I mean is that over the past 6 years, America has seen unbelievable failures in our federal military, our federal infrastructure and the federal government. Not to blame the military, it is an arm of the State and does what the federal government tells it to.
I mean the 'stand down' orders by Cheney for federal training exercises on the SAME day as 9/11! What the hell is that all about? What's even worse is that some of us knew about it 5 years ago! Total failure! Reporting in the 'Media', total failure plus. How about our supposed intelligence agencies? Iraq? Total failure, today generals say we are fighting to keep Baghdad, not the rest of the country. When we went in, we controlled more and now we fight just for control of Baghdad?
Battle plans for Iraq? See Afghanistan.
It's called a failed military strategy and Rummy is directly responsible. He wanted this type of military and now they can't pay their utility bills! Let me say that again...military bases can't pay their power/water bills! 500 million in the hole and no one knows where it went! I can only imagine being a 500 millionaire. Guess no one cares where it went.
Also, what is Congress doing? They are going to be in session only 99 days this year and we have two wars going on around a sea that has seen more wars than any other part of the planet. Do they care? No, they pass rah-rah base bills to get re-elected. Bush? He will get his Right of Kings bill passed...no Congress, no one to blame for new Kingly powers.
I mean the non-handling by FEMA after hurricane Katrina. I read Brad Pitt 'visited the region' a few weeks ago and was SHOCKED that it was still devastated. House after house, block after block nothing but debris. Why is it that Pit moves faster then Homeland Security? I thought we wanted our ports protected? Nah, not the poor areas. Better not look a certain way.
I could rant more but that is enought for now.

2. I know they like to say 'small government' but it is a lie |
|
to fool the masses. Reaganites, Nixon followers, PNACers, The BFEE create huge government and want to spy on all of us. What they would really like, IMO, is an Oligarchy (Carlyle, Halliburton, Exxon-mobile, GM, etc). And it seems to be working if you look at current revenue verses prior years.

3. Brad Pitt? Hell, *tsunami relief workers* were shocked |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x2353681 (yay us! We came up #2 on Yahoo! Search!) Two leaders of the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights who have spent the last 18-months helping victims of last year’s Tsunami took a walk through the Lower Ninth Ward Friday. Their reaction was one of shock, because they said they expected to see more signs of recovery from Hurricane Katrina.
"We think of America as being this fabulous, powerful superpower, and it’s exactly like Third World situations," said Tom Kerr. "In my personal opinion, I think you should have done much, much faster. It should be much better than what I have seen today," said Samsook Boonyabancha. And to think, I didn't think I could possibly hate Bush** any more than I already did as the sun set on 8/28/05... :grr: :banghead:
