There are people flying the Hezbollah flag in Iraq. What does |
|
that mean? Do we ummmm re-bomb Iraq? Do we attack Iraq again with the shock and awe? Does Israel begin a war with Iraq. The overall objective was to eliminate Hezbollah or to kill those who want to kill them.
So, I'm trying to take a look @ scope. I wanna see where we are headed.

1. It means that the insurgency is in its last throes. |
|
And that Israel's struggle against Hezbollah is part of the broader war against terror.

Hizbollah came into existence after Israel first started bombing Lebanon to eliminate the Palestinian resistance in Lebanon. Hizbollah grew to be much stronger than the Palestinian resistance in Lebanon ever was. Up until the recent bombing, Hizbollah was somewhat supported by the Shiites in the Middle East. Since the latest round of bombing to eliminate Hizbollah, Hizbollah is now supported by just about all parties in the Middle East, and a large part of the rest of the world.
I'm not sure that bombing is having the desired effect.

5. Maybe we have turned another corner |

 What we need to do is declare victory and get out now. Our military accomplished it's goal and now the rest is political. Bring the military home. But then who would guard the oil for Exxon and British Petroleum? Oh well even if they don't get the oil promised them by cheney they still get the huge profits Cheney delivered by creating unrest in the MidEast and causing huge jumps in oil costs. There is probably another country somewhere with a lot of oil they can make a grab for (talking about you Venezuela). The Oil Barons are rubbing their hands together and drooling a bit and so is Cheney.. All is good...
