4. Sorry to create a spoiler, but I was floored. There was no |
|
pretending that the polling was wrong! Mark said that he likes Lieberman and how it will be mis-portrayed as ONLY his IRAQ position. He said that Joe lost touch with his constituents and it will be misrepresented as Iraq only.
David said that this should not be looked at in a national context (the Repubs are gonna try to make this a one issue referendum), we can not let that happen. We can not allow them to try to frame the Dem's positions. It is time to get politely politically vocal.

10. Take out the "politely" part and I'm with ya! |
|
I think part of the problem for lieberman and everybody else is that they've been TOO polite, TOO nice, TOO willing to get along, TOO willing to play ball by the bad guy's rules, TOO willing to capitulate.
Can this be the beginning of the END of that, please? I think we should be just as polite and nice and congenial to the bad guys AS THEY ARE TO US. We've done it the nice-guy way. We've done it THEIR way. How's that been working out for us? Seems to me it's time to change tactics.

Rummy get's the axe and Lieberman fills his shoes so the same exact mindset remains in place.

8. How about a big round of applause for the CT Democratic |
|
volunteers! They made an invisible man into the possibly next Senator from CT (just like all the Ohio Dems did with Hackett). I think the message has been sent to Washington, and that is a really good thing.
I think the same is happening on the other side of the aisle (a moderate Repub. is way better than the current crop of ideologues).
Hat's off to CT!

14. Well, then, please take a bow and thank you! You can't worry |
|
about tooting your own horn, when you busted your butt doing it! Don't know how things will ultimately work out, but you guys have made a big difference in the political climate.
I am sure if things workout the way they are expected, you'll have a big hangover on Wednesday!

and I couldn't be more delighted!
Actually, I spoke too soon. After we learn the results on Tuesday, I hope I can say the same.
If not, and Lieberman manages to pull this off, we can say that we fought the good fight and raised the consciousness of the rest of the country.

but its not over yet - so please get out Lamont's vote - I'm very afraid of all this talk of a landslide and such will keep people home - now if it keeps holy Joe's people home I don't care but I swear to God if Lamont doesn't do this I'll have a nervous breakdown. I've had way too many BAD election nights in this Pathetic New American Century!

so forgive me if I say let's wait until Wednesday morning for the congratulations.
We gotta blow Lieberman out of the water. If we are winning that's great, but we gotta win big and decisively, and we can only do that if we work.

12. Not surprising. The media watch the polls--that is how they report |
|
anything is based on polls. And Joe is down and they realize it. Though most pundits would never have seen this coming.
