1. I'll be curious to hear how that goes. |
|
I hope you'll do a full report when you get the chance. I pretty much stay away from the TV these days, but I do enjoy reading blow by blow accounts of some of the more interesting stuff.

2. She's complaining about being "abused" when she got out of jail. yuck. |

She's also denying "fanning the flames of war."
The subtitle is Dowd's: "Woman of Mass Destruction"
Basically the interviewer is asking her the expected questions, bringing up her questionable actions, then she denies and paints a postitive picture of those actions. Sorta ho hum so far.

3. I don't suppose they asked her about participating in torturing |
|
innocent people in Israel, or about her DOD security clearance, did they?
Nightline is now a full-on neo-con front.

4. Nope. I'm hoping for a "the aspens are turning" question. LOL |

They're now getting into "personal elements" such as her taking Dowd's seat in the WH press room. She's acting quite perky, clever.
Asking about getting too close to sources. She reminds the interviewer that allegations by a person at the NYT of an entanglement with Libby had to be retracted. "This is what a lot of men used to say about women reporters."
Interviewer reminds her that she's no longer with NYT. What's next? Judy says she'll wait 'til 2006 to decide.
People now say they can't believe her, interviewer says, how does she feel about it? She says, "when people look back, they'll realize, out of all those stories I did...there were only six stories...and they'll understand I did the best job I could. Or at least I tried to."
Fin
Not an ounce of realization that she did anything wrong, or let us all down.
Pretty disappointing. Most of her answers were non-answers or evasive. I guess that was to be expected. Nothing new or very interesting, really. Sorry everyone. I now regret starting the thread. This was a let down.

Let us know if they ask such an obvious question.

6. Nah, they didn't ask it. They did ask about whether she was "too |
|
personal" Libby, and showed a clip of her and a man I assume was Libby walking together. But she just denied it.
Disappointing interview, I'm afraid. Nothing at all new.

8. Do you have a take on that "Aspens" thing, |
|
or have you, or anybody else, heard of anything interesting?

9. Another poster mentioned an interesting possibility... |
|
He/she thought it had to do with the Larry Franklin case, and how Franklin had just decided to talk to the prosecutor (this of course presumes that the two cases, Nigergate and the AIPAC scandal, are indeed connected). It made sense, but I do yet need to look up the relevant dates, to see if they fit.

7. Please don't regret starting the thread. |

I didn't expect any better than that from either Nightline or Ms Miller. I am still interested in hearing what she has to say for herself.
It would be nice if someone on one of those programs would really do some grilling, but realistically, I don't expect it. Grilling is reserved for Democrats and progressives.
