Hartford Courant's Lightman says Joe will stay a democrat.
He'll run as an indi, hoping/expecting a democratic re-taking of congress. Should that happen, as a democrat he'd be given the plumb job of Homeland Security committee chair. So lightman expects he'll just switch back to Dem should he win in November, to take advantage of the perks of the majority party (dems). He should get no such satisfaction! He is NO LONGER A DEMOCRAT, and is entitled to none of the spoils of victory in November. He made his choice, and must live with it.

Joe is an evil, conniving bastard, and this must be stopped.

1. I'll believe it when he says so...
...in front of a nationwide TV audience. Heck, I wouldn't normally recommend this, but in his case, on FOX. Because that's where the Republicans that are supporting him will have to hear it.

Until he says it there -- O'Reilly, Hardball, take his pick, I won't believe it.

2. Atman, with respect, Joe is a politician.
The job of a politician is to survive.

If that involves evil and coniving, well, that's the job.

It's a dirty kitchen and tonight, the fire in the Democratic Party in CT burned bright and clear. No need to add tar.

Congrats to you and to everyone who worked this effort.

3. So if all this happens, will there still be Democratic Primaries in CT? If
so, why?
