why do people believe they are safer under a group intent on blowing up the planet so they can raputure and/or have total power on the planet? The fact that anyone can say they feel safer and are glad they have to throw away water, makeup and toothpaste for this latest fear factor is beyond my comprehension.
I no longer fly because of the BS at the airports and knowing I would not do well wasting my time having my laptop wanded for 45 minutes because I did not take it out of the case. It took all my will to keep my mouth shut and my stance relaxed for this BS.
There are so many private planes flying without these hassles and they could be much more a threat.
With the country of Saudi Arabia as the biggest culprit for 911 yet they are the ones * holds hands and kisses and whose relatives of the main man were protected and flown out. How did they know so quickly everyone? And where they were? Both the family and the terriorist.
this latest threat was over a year in the making. Since they shot a Brazilian student last time, why would I believe they got it right this time.
I am befuddled and angry about the stupidty of so many people who so easily believe this stuff.
Yet that is what CULTS do. And most of them are in religious cults which are now part of the BFEE empire cult.
Cheney and rummy have been at this since nixon's days
Just had to rant on this latest BS And they are painting the normal people as the extreme, radical left and I guess when you are so fanatically and radically right wing anything looks left.

That all it could be, the general public sees jolly little else about what is going on.

2. Because many people still want an Authority Figure like DADDY |
|
to protect them, kiss their owies and make EVERYTHING all better. To not be afraid requires too much mental and emotional energy for far too many harried people. It's a cross between learned helplessness and abused spouse syndrome.
Perhaps it's because I almost died of food poisoning at 6, appendicitis at 8, and drowning at 19, that I do NOT fear outside danger.
However, most of us can discern real from manufactured threats ... because we are intellectually curious and do not feel DEPENDENT on Authority Figures to guide our paths through life. :-)

3. authority figures to guide their lives - yes that is it - non thinkers |
|
they need to believe their locus of control is outside of them - and they need someone to guide them - that is a pre requisite for cults and they do seem to fit that personality

4. Yes, but it's disappointing that our Right Wing Nutcase GOP |
|
would choose to pick such pretenders, Chickhawks and Pseudo-Christians (hate promoting) as their leaders only because they can stir up all the ugly prejudices within Humankind.
Wow, thinking of Dear Leader and Pat Robertson as their "Cult of Personality" is not only disturbing but also insanity in action. :puke: :scared: :puke:

Hypnosis, religion, fear, hysteria, hell, I wish I knew. I'm glad to know there are others, and that I'm not actually in the twilight zone.

8. Is there a new poll that says the majority feel safer? |
|
I hadn't heard that. I thought the latest polls showed a majority now think B* co are total morons and don't support his 'war' agenda?

10. no new poll - just tv media with latest threat - people saying it is |
|
a good thing and ok to throw all their liquids out to feel safe - that is so stupid - why would you feel safer because people were throwing out their water bottles, makeup, etc. Why would you feel safer because three years later we are in the wrong country helping recruit terriorist by our WMD and torture techniques? I am incredulous everytime I do watch the news and hear the 'crap' coming out of people's mouths
