Having been in the military doesn't confer special privileges, just as my civilian service in Vietnam doesn’t give me any special privileges, though it sometimes shuts up the right-wing crazies when I send them to the page that has the citation for my medal.

2. Not me. Kerry was first to defend Murtha against swiftboating on tv and

senate floor, asked his 3million email list to write and call papers and news shows to defend Murtha and attack swiftboaters, yet 2 months down the road MOST of the posters at the forum are saying Kerry won't say anything about the swiftboating of Murtha.

How many people posting on Dem forums are THAT UNDERINFORMED that they repeat smears and attacks so confidently they sound like freepers, fer chrissakes?

I would say that only about 20% at DU didn't know about Kerry's defense of Murtha. That board was more like 90% ignorant of the facts.

What a shame. Dem internet users should be MORE informed, not less. Ignorance on the Dem left is just heartbreaking and detrimental to the goals and needs of the Democratic party as a whole.
