1. That's always been their plan
Edited on Mon Aug-28-06 12:47 PM by MikeyJones
Their plan is to fulfill their master's corporate agenda. The CEOs pay them off and they push that agenda -- or the agenda of the highest bidder -- as long as they're getting paid. That's the trick most don't see.

4. If democrats don't win in November....
...it will prove to the world that America has been taken over by a dictatorship.

Then what happens? A civil war? Or do we just let Bush & Co. continue to use America as their own personal ATM. :argh:

5. Don't know.....
But I know we're going to have ethnic civil wars in America within the next 50 years. I'm already planning a move out of the country once I make enough money to retire. We're so polarized as a nation right now it wouldn't surprise me if we did get into a war.

Reality/Science/Sanity/ Pro activeness/etc, will prevail over Delusion/Fantasy/Myopia/Obstinacy/etc

The American People must learn to realize the Positiveness of Humanity can OVERCOME the Negativity of the GOP and their CULT.

9. They're the exact opposite of the optimist republican Reagan immortalized
Darth Cheney has turned America into a fucking bunker instead of Reagan's shining city on a hill as Maureen Dowd so brilliantly put it. They can't even go back to the past when they energized their base with blind hope in trickle-down economics. All they have now keeping them in power is pure fear non-whites.

But I to digress with you. I don't think there's any way we can overcome it in the long-run. I honestly think we're fucked for good. When White America ceases to be the majority and "dies" in America I think both political parties will be thrown out the window in a "baby and the bath water" reform movement that will put new ethnic parties into party.(like maybe we'll see La Raza or Mecha morph into a latino political party)

I agree with the now quasi-conservative(since he quit the party I don't know where he stands) Pat Buchanan and his "doom and gloom" scenarios to a point. He's certainly over-doing it on a lot of issues but I think he's right in that multi-nationals and free-trade neocons have so fucked us as a nation and have so de-stablized the American unions and the American worker with cheap 3rd world labor that we won't survive as a first world nation for another 30 years. After all -- who the hell is going to pay for the massive increases in medicare/caid and social security programs for the baby boomers? Gen "Y"ers only account for rought 65% of the total population of boomers. That's roughly a third less. Had the boomers had more kids we wouldn't be in this fucked-up situation right now.

Anybody who thinks education is going to get better is living on another planet -- especially in rural areas and in the inner city. Minorities will make up 60% of all high schoolers in just a decade and latinos and African-Americans are both expected to actually INCREASE their dropout rates by 10-15%. I've even read stats to where latinos are expected to have a 70% drop-out rate!

Imagine hoards of exploited, poor, aimless, under-educated, disenfranchised, and extremely volatile and angry young minorities protesting and rioting because they're sick of having their crappy service-sector salary sucked off by a tax rate of 80+% to pay for outrageous and un-warranted benefits for the baby boomer masses who had years to attain wealth but failed to do so in place of self-service and self-fulfillment. I'd gladly join the minorities in their marches and protests.

Why should we afterall pay for the massive social benefits of a generation that had 40 years of relative peaceful and strong economic growth to attain and keep their wealth?? And not to mention we'll want programs of our own. But with politicians pandering to the older vote -- they being the majority -- whose programs do you think will be made into law? I know one person who won't be around to see hell on earth -- that's all I know.

10. I'm not so convinced.
It's like what Lewis Black said:

"Republicans are a party with all the wrong ideas and Democrats are a party with no ideas."

So we're basically fucked and stuck between a car that's not moving and one that's desperately trying to run us over. It's not a pretty situation to be in any way you look at it.
