Good poll data from Ohio in Governors and Senate race |
|
from Rasmussen: Ohio Governor: Stickland: 57% Blackwell: 32%
That 25-point lead is an improvement from 11-points in their last poll.
Ohio Senate: Brown: 45% Dewine: 42%
Not much change but Brown's 45-42 edge is slight improvement from previous 44-42 edge.

If Blackwell even tries to steal the election, there will be massive upheaval. No one will believe that he is the true winner.

2. That Brown-Dewine contest is way too close... |
|
I think Hackett would have mopped the floor with Dewine. It should not be even near that.

6. Pushing Hackett out was probably a blunder . . . |
|
Stale thinking judged him "too green" to jump from nothing to House race (lost) to Senate. I think the leadership was scared of his adamantly anti-war position.
Time has eroded THAT opinion, however . . .
Having recently heard both Hackett and Brown speak, I do think Hackett's much better. However, Brown's good enough, and he certainly is fully tied into the political system in Ohio in a way that a newcomer couldn't. He says the right things, too. DeWine isn't a raving looney, however, which makes him harder to beat, even when Ohioans are (apparently) really tired of being governed by 'Licans.
We'll see.

7. Hackett dropped out on his own. |
|
he could have stayed in and fought. Besides the polling isn't that bad. An incumbent is behind which is really unusual.

8. I believe Brown's lead will increase. I think Blackwell's finished. |
|
And there are rumblings that Mean Jean Schmidt is not exactly coasting to victory in OH-1.
Go, Democrats.

9. Brown needs to do better -- |
|
if his lead remains in the single digits, it's close enough for election fraud to overcome. Of course, that may also be true of a 25-point edge.
