Guess What Congressman during the Vietnam War made this statement. |
As a Republican congressman from Illinois in 1966, raised questions about the 30-year association between Halliburton’s chairman and then-president Lyndon Johnson. "Why this huge contract has not been and is not now being adequately audited is beyond me," said. "The potential for waste and profiteering under such a contract is substantial."

He was a Congressman from Illinois about that time. Happily, not the solidly Democratic district I lived in. :)

6. Cheney wasn't a Congressman back then and he was originally from Wyoming. |
He was elected to Congress in 1978 and he served until 1989 when he became the Defense Secretary for Bush Sr.

15. The brother of Halliburtons CFO was a high school classmate of mine. |
He lives across the block from me. The brother is a nice guy but I have never went into a political discussion with him.
