If you are 36 years old right now and you have lived in America |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 10:12 PM by Jamastiene
all your life:
You have had a grand total of 2 Democratic presidents and the rest were Republicans.
You have spent 2/3 of your life with Republicans as President.
Just a really depressing thought I had earlier. Nothing to see here. Moving right along now. Remember this in November though and vote.

3. If the votes were counted at all, |
|
it would have been that way. Unfortunately, they have forced this current nightmare of a reality on us. Don'cha just hate the way it has worked out?

Gore would not have run for a second term?
Or Kerry would have ousted him in a primary challenge?

That is the most important thing about my OP. We need to get the message out that voting is where the wheels touch the road and start to count for something... when they decide to count our votes.

9. So if someone has lived double 36, their life has been better? |

An intriguing thought. Thanks for presenting it.
After getting immersed in the attempted destruction of this country, I look back and see two eras in my life ... up to 1963 and after 1963. That's when the PNACers took over, but they weren't called that back then. They've been sly. They've been clever. They've felt their way, but they're settled in and all systems are go. Everyone is in their way. Killing, massacres, assassinations, and thefts are everyday stuff.
I think it was a mistake that the three K's and Malcolm X were done away with in the 60's along with freedom and rights fighters and thousands of our kids and thousands of Vietnamese. Later, the double crossing started, plus the running of weapons and drugs (allegedly) and they started hanging out with very rich Middle Easterner Moslems, selling wars, and creating an axis of religious partnerships - Jew, Moslem,Christian. It was hard to see it all then. We were so trusting of them in their suits and ties
Talk about depressing.
I notice that my outrage is pitched by the news from the morning or day preceding - the latest being getting Congress to destroy more of the documents that outline our rights. We've abandoned the tenet we were raised on - this country is ours. It now looks like it belongs to PNACers, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, barons and the Congress and Party who work for them, not us.

11. FDR was President when I was born. |

It's been one helluva slide - a continuous, obsessive erosion of the New Deal.

10. Good grief, I knew there was a reason I was depressed! |

The best times of my life were when Clinton was President. That was no accident, was it?
Good post. I recommended ;)

It was just something that came up in my mind when I thought of how hopeful things were in the 90's and how depressing and hopeless things feel now.
We are a generation that has been basically tortured and deprived of hope for 2/3 of our entire lives. And we are supposed to do what with that amount of lemons? Ya know?
