John McCain, the Republican frontrunner for the 2008 presidential election, has dramatically raised the stakes in a fight with the White House over interrogation techniques permitted for use at secret Central Intelligence Agency prisons by saying he is unwilling to back down on the issue even if it ruins his chance of becoming president.

1. Neither McCain nor Clinton will be the nominees.
At this point, unless they change their politics, they are not going to be nominated.

McCain won't get nominated in neither a neocon nor a moderate party. His previous record as a moderate cooks his goose for the neocons and his recent record as a ChimpCo apologist will seal his fate as a moderate. Plus, his age and his health will be a huge issue.

Clinton? Do I really have to go through that?
I didn't think so.

4. I 100% agree, and so does my repuke brother
McCain has alienated the repuke base far too much to win the primaries.

5. He will be President unless we start attacking this phony stuff.
He says stuff for the cameras, and then looks the other way when it comes to the actual fight. That goes not only for torture, but it goes for campaign finance, Iraq, partisanship, basic decency, deficits, everything.
