Bush is terribly mentally disturbed!
He should not be making decisions, nor leading the country.

8. That's exactly what I said... Iraq didn't 'invite' us... |
|
Apparently he's waiting for Pakistan to start the game of 'Red Rover' so we can send troops over... :sarcasm:
Perhaps he could spend some time 'clarifying' our position with Pakistan, instead of 'clarifying' the Geneva Conventions. I thought he'd said something in the past about any state that harbors terrorists must be held accountable?

10. Let me see if I can wrap my brain around this. |
|
OK. So, on 9/11, 3,000 people were murdered in one goddamned morning in attacks orchestrated by Osama Bin Laden.
The Bush Doctrine follows... "if you're not with us, you're against us." We will attack any nation which harbors terrorists. Bin Laden, dead or alive.
Most terrorism experts feel strongly that Bin Laden is hiding somewhere in Pakistan. But suddenly, in a stunning reversal of "doctrine," we now require an engraved invitation to go there and find him?
I'm getting a headache behind my left eye again...

...or your against us!" and the rest of the cowboy-on-steroids rhetoric?
I thought we were going after the terrorists where THEY live. I thought we were taking the battle to them OVER THERE, so we didn't have to fight them OVER HERE.
Junior had no problem strong-arming countries into the "Coalition of the Willing" by positioning unwilling countries as terrorist-loving nations.
Why doesn't Junior use that same brand of vigor and aggression--to get Osama in Pakistan?
He's not even trying.
I wonder why.

|
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 06:08 PM by gully
to "pursue those responsible?" And, as you said - didn't our Republican controlled Government send those troops into Iraq (a soverign nation) "uninvited" - in spite of the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 911?

I am deeply concerned about pakistan, as i believe that pakistan and saudi arabia, and sudan are a deeper threat than ira<x>. Something stinks in pakistan, the patriarchy, the bleeding stupidity, the exported violence and destabilizing wars, terrorism and nuclear postering... and unless the US gets clear about its real strategic enemies, it is deeply sad that a nation of open culture where intelligence theoritically advises the actors, that such avoidable stupidity is being allowed to pass before our noses.

19. Actually it's quite easy to do and we did with Afghanistan. If we want to |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 06:20 PM by MJDuncan1982
invade Canada, all Bush has to do is recognize some small pro-U.S.-invasion group as the legitimate government of Canada (which the President has sole authority to do under the Constitution).
Then, that group invites us in and everything's legit.
edit: We technically didn't invade Afghanistan. We recognized the N. Alliance and they invited us in to flush out an illegal government.

22. Um,.. sort of, actually. |

Certainly, there was considerable popular support in Iraq for the American invasion before it happened - it's current near-universal unpopularity was not then the case.
