it emits foul stench. This is the first plant in the world that is able to convert turkey offal, old tires, plastics, etc. into fuel oil and other valuable products. Save that Infectious Medical Waste: www.kansascity.com

1. Of all the damn dumb things out there, this is one of the dumbest |

Couldn't they have found a reporter who would bother looking up the process on Wikipedia? (It's TDP, by the way) It's one of the few things out there that not only turns medical waste entirely noninfective and into a useful substance, it is the only process out there that will render items contaminated by fluids from Creutzfelt-Jakob patients noninfective. Burning won't do that.
This is a process that could take care of every overfilled, smelly, leaky landfill in the country and turn the contents into light sweet crude.
That plant was also under attack by animal feed companies owned by one of the oil giants that had bidded up the price of that processing plant waste almost to the point of shutting the process down. Now Repugs with sensitive noses think it stinks worse than the processing plant itself? Spare me.
Wake up and smell the turkey guts, people. This is the stink of corruption, and it's wafting not from the TDP cooker, but from Big Oil.
