Blurring the laws and the English language...
The neo-cons said they would create their own "reality". In doing so, they have changed the definitions of words and terms to suit their agenda. In other words, to name something the "Clear Skies Agenda" when it actually adds more pollution is not changing "reality", it is changing the words. It is lying, pure and simple.

The latest episode of attempting to change the definition of words is with the issue of "torture". The Bush regime says its all in the eye of the beholder. To traumatize suspected "terrorists" with loud sounds, cold or hot temperatures, or to make them think they are drowning (in a practice called "boarding"), is not torture in their eyes. It's all in the definition of the term, they say. Actually, it is lying, pure and simple. But worse, it is criminal. It is insane. It is evil. This is how far they have gone with their disregard for the truth and "reality". It is presently a "crisis" in our government and that is my definition.

1. ...Well not like the communists didn't do it since many decades ago.
That's what Orwell had in mind when he wrote Animal Farm and 1984 and stuff, or so I've heard. Not his fault the neocons thought the communists were very successful in this and their methods should be copied for different ends.

2. “When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone,
“it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.”

“The question is,” said Alice, “whether you can make words mean so many different things.”

“The question is,” said Humpty Dumpty, “which is to be master — that's all.”

From “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland”

It is their dream come true. Go out and torture, kill, maim.
