New Mantra: Clinton's Republican Congress held him back from killing OBL. |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 11:05 AM by rainy
After watching the video of Chris Wallace and Clinton, we should go on the road spreading the truth that Clinton's republican congress fought him all the way when he tried to get OBL. Then when they got the white house they did NOTHING to get him.

11. I Disagree. It DOES Have Meaning and Importance NOW |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 01:21 PM by VogonGlory
I must disagree. The issue of whether the conservative Republican-controlled Congress helped or impeded Bill Clinton's own war against al Qaeda DOES have meaning and importance in the now.
Yes, yes, I know that we've had over five years of no. 43 in the White House and five years of Republican-controlled Executive Branch f-ups in the war against al Qaeda.
But many of those very same conservative Republican politicos who thought that pursuing al Qaeda was less important than "gitting" Bill Clinton are STILL in the House of Representatives and in the US Senate. While many of the politically-aware have tried and tried in vain for the last eight years to make these conservative Republicans' actions an issue in Congressional and senatorial races, the meme has never gain much ground among active Democrats, let alone in the gutless, toadying corporate media or among the electorate as a whole.
If right-wing propagandists like Cyrus Nowrasteh are dumb enough to make people just aware enough to take a cold, hard look at what the Repiggy politicos were actually doing during the Clinton years, as well as what they most certainly WEREN'T doing while OBL's murderous crew was preparing for September 11th, so much the better.
It would have been wonderful if the voters had held those Republican politicos accountable for their antics in 1998, after the East African embassy bombings. It would have been good if the voters had held those right-wing Republicans accountable in the 2000 or the 2002 elections. But it's better to hold these clowns accountable now instead of never.
