haha!! Bush's approval rating only 38% in newest ARG Poll |
|
I think that is up from 36% in August--I suppose the media will talk about Bush's "surge"

3. Oooooooooh, 2 whole percentage points |

They can't even move it past the margin of error.
Probably accounted for by that upswing in glue-sniffing across the midwest.

9. Is that a number to be proud of? |

The mere fact that they're celebrating that has got to be the most pathetic thing in the world.

That's a lot of Americans. It's a country of a lot of very ignorant people.
Well, I might as well post my thoughts here. We're talking about being surprised by something that shouldn't be. I'm continually amazed at the new lows Americans display. Whether it was letting the drug war ever happen, or voting in Reagan, or sleeping through Iran Contra. Or just designing lives that require commuting in poisonous machines 100 miles each way.
Were we ever a decent country? We invaded an occupied continent, fleeing the King of England. Instead of living in peace, we murdered nearly all of the people who already lived here. Then we stole the west coast from the Mexicans. We imported slaves from Africa and China, and had them build an infrastructure. Then we destroyed the land. We bred and built houses everywhere. And no one can argue that better than I. I have personally witnessed the death of the countryside. We never valued culture. We abandoned education. We voted in a fascist, twice. And some people are surprised, suddenly.
