1. I can't believe they're called the "Do Nothing" Congress! |
|
They've done plenty of damage since they've been in session. Gawd, I never thought I'd be so happy to have congress in recess!

It's just a matter of attacking the rights of ours that most people aren't concerned about, because they don't realize the opposite.
Take the third ammendment.
"No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. "
'nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.'
Since they see us as in a 'war' they could pass legislation that allows them to quarter and station troops in people's houses. Many people wouldn't bat an eye at this.
The first is already getting trashed, the second is gospel, the fourth is getting trashed, the fifth is getting trashed, the sixth is getting trashed.
The seventh maybe? "In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law. "
Word that in some way to protect the energy industry or non-applicable. Make certain industries and businesses void from common law suits?
The eigth is toast. Unusual punishements indeed.
The ninth is vague enough that i'm sure they could abuse it.
The tenth has been ignored for a long time.

They can easily find something. They desire to punish the common man and woman a little more before they return to their special interest buddies to celebrate their successful ruination of the American way of life.
And what a glorious campaign it has been, not since Sherman's March to the Sea has there been anything like like this! The fools of the GOP celebrate, thinking they have shown those on the left just exactly who is boss & indeed they have. Little do the proselytizing fools realize what they have done to themselves. Soon enough they shall know. Then they will want their demagoguing republiclowns to help them. All they will want is their children to put into uniform to sacrifice in pursuit of Empire. Which will be OK with too many of these blind people because their leaders and their religious icons tell them it is God's will that they do so.
When the money stops, the food grows scarce, the fuel becomes pricey, the house becomes too expensive to keep, the child comes home ina box, but you get a nice triangularly folded flag to remember him by, then they might reconsider their voting pattern. But probably not until then. I fear that will be too late.

6. What they are not understanding.,.. |
|
is when a Dem gets in office as President, they will have the same powers as this president. (the Dem's will eventually learn how to steal an election.)
The republicans are walking into one of the finest traps ever laid by a political party.
Of course they will cry and call "foul"...but we will just remind them that it was a republican president and a republican congress who did this.

Do you honestly think they're going to allow a Democrat to be "elected?" Not anymore. Not in this country.
