CNN.com article on protesters at Gonzales' speech today. |
|
It is actually the cnn.com headline story with a nice picture. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/24/nsa.strategy/index.html

1. they used my favorite picture!! |

I still hate CNN though. Maybe a little bit less than usual, just for today (or until they change the picture to one of Gonzales at the podium).

9. A Reporter???? !!!!!! America doesn't have 'reporters' anymore |
|
"a reporter on Lou Dobbs just said that there is no hope of stopping Alito with a filibuster."

America doesn't have 'reporters' anymore. All's we have is paid shills who say what they're told to say. (And if they don't, there's at least a thousand other people waiting in the background who would be GLAD to stand up there and spew the propaganda! America's 'talking heads' get adulation b/c they can point to themselves in front of family and friends and say, "Hey, Look! I made the 'big time' ... I'm on the TeeVee." ~ even though what they're saying is absolute bullsh*t.)

6. I showed it to my daughter and we both got kind of teary! |
|
She is only 13 but she is learning that with the advent of the Republicans trying to take away our civil rights, these images of our constitutional rights being displayed are wonderful. I look at images like that and it makes me proud to be an American. I feel the same emotionally when I sing the star spangled banner, see our flag being raised,or when I see soldiers coming home from Bush's war in one piece reuniting with their families. I just hope we can keep it that way.
