Why is his home not searched, his computer not seized? YET? This is an
ongoing outrage that every news outlet should bring up, and should be brought up to any apologist.

1. If it was one of us
not only whould our homes and offices have already been torn apart. We would be in jail and our family and friends would have already been dragged in for questioning.

Nice double standard.

2. Because.
That is all the rationale we are entitlted to.

seriously, with Gonzo running his black-clad feebies, and controlling what Justice can do, is it any surprise that they are NOT conducting a full investigation?
I think not.

3. Come on, trust him
He may still have his computer but his lawyer said that he was told not to erase any files and he promised not to do that. Really, what's the problem? I suppose that's the way it's always done.

5. Jeb and Charlie Crist need to answer that question
Charlie Crist, Fl attorney General, Republican Candidate for the Florida Governor, should have been on this case from the day they first heard it last year.

8. Is florida law applicable here?
I thought the violations we've been talking about were violations of federal law, not state law.

WASHINGTON D.C. -- The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said it's examining whether former U.S. Representative Mark Foley's communications with teenage congressional pages violated state law.

FDLE spokesman Tom Berlinger said it's "an early stage, a precursor to a possible criminal investigation." He said the state attorney general's office has offered assistance.

The White House and Democratic leaders in Congress are calling for a criminal probe into former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley's sexually suggestive electronic messages to teenage boys.

Foley, of Florida, said Monday that he has checked himself into a rehabilitation facility and is undergoing treatment for alcoholism.

6. His computer, the last time it was mentioned...
...was still in his Capitol Hill office, which remains locked against intrustion by either the FBI or the Capitol police. I don't remember which.

As for searching his home, that would require a search warrant, which requires:

1) Probable cause that a crime was committed.

2) Probable cause that evidence can be found in the home.

#2 seems fairly obvious, but there still seems to be some question about #1 given some of the articles that have come out today.
