Didn't Foley make contributions to some House Leaders who knew about this on-going harassment of federal employees (and under-age youths) he engaged in?

If anyone put the youngsters up to it, as Rush suggests, it may have been someone who knew Foley was paying hush money and wanted to give the money tree a shake. Perhaps even someone seeking entry into political office holding.

That said, I do not believe anyone put the lads up to anything. They are victims of sexual harassment at the very least. But my speculation is more plausible than Rush's.

Kids like to IM more often than adults. When Foley was 'hitting on them' they probably suggested that be done online, certainly because they believed his behavior to be inappropriate in the real world.

Also, just as a side note, people should not forget that in many way the minds of 16 year olds are more efficient than at any other age. It is a shame that Foley just saw them as pieces of meat.

Keep it and save it and so forth. How would you get a kid to do that? Yeah, who knows? You threaten him or pay him. There's any number of ways given the kind of people that we're dealing with and talking about here.
