Was tonight Keith Olberman's last night?
He said things about George W Bush that not even leaders of the Democratic Party have the balls or the capacity to say. I think he called him a "pathological liar"? The language was so strong that MSNBC will no doubt be hearing from this White House. They fear the truth like vampires fear the light. My hunch would be that someone is already sending a message to Dan Abrams or whomever is in charge at MSNBC and we may see a "guest host" for Keith tomorrow night. I would not be surprised if he does not return. There is a price to pay for speaking the truth in these times...

I'm having trouble downloading the video, but I read the transcript. I'll try the video again later.

Thank you.

Edit: The video downloaded. That was wonderful.

5. Nope, I don't think so.
His ratings are way up, especially in key demographic groups. Advertisers will pay big bucks for time on his show. Money talks, Keith gets to tell the truth, and we get to enjoy hearing it for a change.

JMHO.

Most democrats, many publiclowns, and most of the rest of the world know that he speaks the truth. If Keith gets canceled, I, to cut my own nose off, maybe, will cancel my dish tv--period.

I think I saw admiration in Joe's face as he and Keith bantered at the end of KO's show. Quite the turnaround for Scarborough. I still don't trust him, but it's amazing he has changed his tune. Hopefully it is because Keith is now the commentator to emulate instead of O'Leilly.

27. I've been thinking about this...
and if Keith were to get axed, it would be such an obvious tell...that it might be worth it. Especially when considering other consequences. He has certainly raised the level of awareness to any who've tuned in, and with his ratings at an all time high, it would put to bed, once and for all, the notion that the media and the corporations that own it, care...about ratings, news, or the american people. How much money do these global corporations really need from advertisers, when they own the United States government?

29. Nah...the powers that be at MSNBC already know what K.O. is going to
say in his Special Commentaries before he goes on the air.

After the last few months, I'm sure the MSNBC brass are used to hearing from the WH (or not, depending on whether or not the WH bothers to talk to MSNBC folks.)

I thoroughly expect to see Olbermann back on the air tomorrow, and next week, and the week after that. His ratings are way UP, and you don't mess with UP in TV.

38. MSNBC had been advertising KO's commentary in advance since last night.
His commentaries are a ratings booster for them and they want to take advantage of it. MSNBC reruns some of his past commentaries on weekendsand make a point of advertising them. His ratings are up and the mgt is happy.

In a recent interview for Salon, KO said MSNBC's mgt eggs him on to do the commentaries especially when they see the boost on his ratings and viewers' response. KO said he had to tell MSNBC mgt that he couldn't do them every night, it would just become stale shtick.

Seriously, I wonder if anybody has kept count of just how many times Keith was about to get fired. God the melodrama.

Ok, now having that said, I agree completely that he has shown balls that we haven't seen from ANYBODY! I once again have watched the clip 10 times over and give a standing ovation at the end of each run. It is as much raw inarguable truth as I have ever witnessed. If only everybody out there was able to see it and have open mind enough to understand it and appreciate/acknowledge its truth.

My apologies to Gandhi

What needs to be done is to collect these commentaries and to send them en masse to the White House.

To spread the word.

To pull a V for Vendetta and have them played over the airwaves for all to see.

MSM has ignored it, alas.

49. Imagine if a news talker had the courage to say this stuff 2-3 years ago.
There was no atmosphere where that talk was allowed - and why Donahue lost his show in 2003 and 2004. No media would let Bush get hurt like that before the election.
